It's Joss...and even more...
This was unexpected, but people were very happy to see him there. Of course, he's busy writing Wonder Woman, or I Hate Myself, etc. Hey, it's tough re-inventing a classic heroine after inventing a new one. He also talked about his small role in Veronica Mars. It taught him to have more respect for actors who have small roles, or just five lines. He also said something about having a face made for radio--something I can relate to.
Then the subject changed to insane fan moments. The cast didn't have a lot of them, convincing Joss that maybe we're not crazy enough. Alan did say he met a lot of people who were upset Wash died in the movie. Jewel met a fan who, well, was flatulent.
If it ended there, it would have been a great weekend. But Nathan had one more thing up his sleeve...a new gag reel. If we pray hard enough, we just might see most of it in the final DVD release...but maybe not the final shot where an evil Mal doll gives a certain body part to a certain mechanic. Good times.
But the weekend was more than just Serenity....we also have two guys from Angel..... |

Dennis Christopher (left), who played Cyrus Vail, and Johnathen Woodward, who played Knox (and also appeared on Firefly) had the group in stitches. Dennis had some interesting comments about how credit-card debt is the new slavery, while Johnathan had interesting comments about everything else. For example, he thought that getting shot was cooler than getting staked (remember, he was the vampire in "Conversations with Dead People"). Dennis agreed, since he was in a horror flick where his character gets shot on top of Grauman's Chinese. |

Then Johnathan had a pretty wacky "sermon" before the first Sunday panel. Champagne and Pringle's Potato Chips played a big role. Let's just say it's a variation of
communion which hasn't been protested yet. There was also a lot of bell-ringing whenever someone said "uvula". Johnathan had an assistant (see left picture) ringing the bell. You have to wonder how well he'd do if he was a televangelist. |

Here are the Serenity Twins, Raf and Yan Feldman. There is still some debate on who's prettier |

Andy Hallett back in the karaoke swing. He was clearly the most popular guy in the late-night dance, except for Erin and Thor for their tribute to Meat Loaf (the singer). |
