| As I have said elsewhere in the internets, Comic-Con 2009 was a mixed bag. I didn't get to see all the pnels I wanted because of long lines and facilities that are getting too small for an event like this. Add the fact my laptop died, and I lost a chance to see Eliza Dushku up close because Fox betrayed me (see me above, upset with an autograph ticket that lost value faster than 100 shares of AIG). But there were good things, like a quick hello to Felicia Day, seeing a very exclusive premiere, and gazing at my first Time Lord in 23 years. Still, San Diego better work on expanding the Convention Center, or L-a Live is going to take this cultural event over because the Gaslamp District knows what hit it. You can visit my extensive comments on Comic-Con at the JW Network, the Notorious IG and Whedonopolis. I even have three at a special Whedonage site. Wilth all those stories, you'd think I'd be interviewed on Fox News or IGN TV by now. Oh well. So, this is mostly photos of the event. You can see more at Flickr, but here's a sample first... |

| Right off the bat, the event was crowded with fans of every genre and show, from Dr. Who to Twilight (especially Twilight), Lost to Dollhouse. The two gentlemen to the right said it all for most people. Next year could be even wilder, considering it will also include Harry Potter fans anticipating the two-movie finale. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Computer problems notwithstanding, I did have a little fun, posing next to a wax Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, trying to encourage Emmy voters to consider his song from the Oscars for an award. I was also at the Burn Notice press conference, where I got a picture with Bruce Campbell, who was never an A-List star but was always durable and in demand. Take that, Mischa Barton. Thanks to Eugene Powers who took the photo | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Doctor Horrible showing drew a massive crowd. Hundreds had to be turned away, but I sneaked in as an SRO attendee, thanks to some security guys with a heart. The style and response rivaled the Once More With Feeling showing, but also added an MST3K flavor. They also had "Commentary," the musical, complete with songbook. The CA Browncoats made this happen, but next year they should get Ballroom 20, or closed-circuit TV. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
