Another day at sea, and some interesting times, starting with a gathering of Jayne fans at a hot tub on the Lido Deck....

Consider this a gathering of Jayne fans, including Michael Fairman himself! Thanks to Richard Sparks for Fairman's photo
It may be a cruise, but it's still a Firefly convention. That's why the fans had a lot to choose from: t-shirts, CDs, DVDs, even photos
After that, it was Karaoke night, and probably the highlight of the whole cruise. Here's a woman dressed as Inara, with a backup group.
The day was dominated by music in many ways, such as a Firefly Sing-A-Long. The classics were sung, including Mal's Song and the theme from you-know-what. Even some Christmas Carols were re-written for the Browncoats. Julesong organized the event, and led the singing, with Hawk from the Bards helping out
Here's Nectar Rose, rocking it with us!
OK, Fox. Try and stop this! Many of the guests doing two songs from "Once More With Feeling", namely "Walk Through the Fire" and I'll Never Tell" It only proves that yesterday's Scooby Gang fan is today's Browncoat. Comic-Con has made such sing-a-longs more common these days.
Michael's wife, Joy, belting out a great performance of "Natural Woman". She was also a hit when she did an a capella version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow' the night before, while some football fans next door were seeing New England escape with its undefeated record on Monday Night Football.
Then came the Masquerade, where people were dressed like their favorite Serenity characters. I didn't do so well dressed as Simon Tam, not with winners like these above. They ptu a lot of effort into their costumes.
Kevin won dressed as Double-0-Wash. He told me the shirt was made of a Hawaiian shirt and dress shirt. It's really custom-made
This guy won 200 pesos for not wearing much at all. he was imitating Tracy from "The Message". At one point in that episode, Tracey is nude when he has to give up the organs he's smuggling within himself.
